Introduction
Your assignment for
this activity is to research a person who made a difference in America by being politically active. You will assume the role of the person and be required to play a part in a scenario designed for that particular
person. Example: Your role may be
to be President John F. Kennedy talking about the “Bay of Pigs” incident.
The answer you want to discover
is how this person you are playing impact your life by being politically active.
The Task
The Task is to learn about
politics and how it impacts your life. You will be playing a role of someone
who has had an impact in history.

the problem you character faced in this situation;

how history reflected this decision;

The Process
The idea of this process
is to allow you the opportunity to step in to the shoes of someone who has had to make a decision that impacted your life. It also can be an opportunity for you to learn about a politician or political event
that would give you better understanding of being political engaged.

to select a real person that has made a difference in America. (subject to the
approval of the instructor)

Once your role has been selected
you will research your character and the situation you have elected to discuss.

You will create a one page document

of your speech.

The speech can not exceed 7 minutes. All documents will be turned in to the instructor at the time of the speech.

Student can be creative in their
presentation of the event.

Two students can perform together
if the scenario allows such as a Presidential debate.
