Definition of Political Engagement

For an individual to be aware and understand the impact being politically involved and committed can affect their lives.  Using that knowledge the individual becomes active and involved in the political process.  This could be working on a campaign for a candidate they believe represents their ideas or simply becoming area of current issues revolving around their life. The ultimate goal is to become good responsible citizens who take an active role in their future.
