The National Constitution Center is an independent, non-partisan, and non-profit organization dedicated to increasing public understanding of and appreciation
for the Constitution. It offers several online resources to help schools educate their students about the Constitution.
The Center’s resources that are age-specific for post-secondary students include:
- Ten Fast Facts on the Constitution – An online service that teaches 10 key facts about the Constitution.
- Basic Governing Principles of the Constitution – An explanation of the Constitution's basic governing principles, including Popular Sovereignty, Rule of Law,
Separation of Powers and a System of Checks and Balances, Federalism, Judicial Review, and Individual Rights.
- Centuries of Citizenship - A Constitutional Timeline – An online review of two hundred years of constitutional history as told through a collection of stories
and headlines spotlighting some of the people, events and issues that have shaped the Constitution.
- The Founding Documents - Full Text – The full text of several founding documents including the Magna Carta, Mayflower Compact, Virginia Declaration
of Rights, Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Reconstruction Amendments.
- Interactive Constitution Online – An interactive version of the Constitution with a clause-by-clause explanations. It provides easy
access to basic Constitutional facts and interpretation, and is searchable by key words and Supreme Court cases.
- Printable Text of U.S. Constitution – The full text of the Constitution, ready for printing, in PDF format.
